So many homes rely on baseboard heaters to provide necessary heat during the winter, and while these baseboard heaters work great at keeping your home warm and toasty, they can also pose a danger to your child. Your little one is very curious about everything around him/her, and the cozy warmth from the heater makes it an attractive spot to stay and play. While you want to give your child some freedom to explore and learn, it's important to make sure they can do so safely.

Our baseboard heater covers are the single most effective way to keep your toddler safe from the baseboard heaters in your home, keeping little fingers and small toys away from the heating element, while maintaining the function and look of your home.

There are two types of baseboard heating; electric and hydronic (hot water). With hydronic heating the heated water flows through copper pipes of a hot water system with temperatures that can easily reach 160 degrees Fahrenheit--hot enough to cause 3rd degree burns in children. Electrically powered heaters are even hotter--easily reaching temperatures as high as 200 degrees making open baseboard covers with an exposed element potentially dangerous. A young curious finger could easily experience touch temperatures as high as 200 degrees Fahrenheit if contact is made with the element.

The mom-approved closed cover design of our covers means there's no exposed heating element so small fingers and toys can't make their way into the heater. And the smooth end caps on our covers eliminate sharp edges--meaning no unnecessary bumps and bruises.

*Note, baseboard covers are not a cool to the touch solution, they conduct heat and will still get very hot.
